Romantic Resorts That Celebrate Christmas

Romantic Resorts That Celebrate Christmas

If you’re looking for a romantic resort to celebrate Christmas with your special someone, look no further than New York’s North Fork. The East Hamptons area is well known for its beautiful private homes, but there are also plenty of unique places to go on Long Island. Two of my favorite places are Salty Kiss, a minimalist and peaceful retreat, and the Old Life-Saving Station, a former 1800s coast guard station that was featured in Lena Dunham’s Girls and Hugh Grant’s film The Undoing.

Lake Placid

If you’re looking for a romantic resort that celebrates Christmas, look no further than Lake Placid. This romantic destination features a variety of special events throughout the season, including holiday movie marathons and ice skating rinks. There are also spa treatments, outdoor activities, and gourmet dining options.

If you’re looking for a quiet getaway in which to spend your holiday season, consider Lake Placid. This quaint town offers a relaxing, small-town feel. Enjoy holiday activities at the Whiteface Lodge, where you can drink hot cocoa while ice skating in the lake or admire the holiday lights throughout the Adirondacks.

The resort has three new holiday menus. The first menu is inspired by Chef Roelly’s European heritage, while the other two are based on the local flavors and traditions of the region. For a small fee, you can rent a pair of skates and get in on the holiday spirit!

Litchfield Hills

Litchfield Hills is a small town located in central Connecticut, about two and a half hours from New York City and Boston. It is known as one of the most beautiful places to visit during the holiday season. It features beautiful Christmas decorations, antique shops, snowy carriage rides, and a village-wide holiday art display.

If you and your loved one are looking for a luxurious retreat during Christmastime, you can consider staying in Winvian Farm. This luxury estate is spread across 113 acres and features 18 cottages, including the Hadley Suite. Each cottage features an eclectic design from different architects, and there is plenty of space for relaxing and exploring the estate. A large outdoor pool and a fine dining restaurant are also located on the estate.

The restaurant serves a wide range of food, from pub fare to upscale Italian staples. The menu features locally grown ingredients, including locally caught fish. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, including a cordwood outdoor dining area.

Casa Del Mar

If you’re looking for a romantic destination close to Los Angeles, Casa Del Mar is a good option. The resort is just a few miles from the city and offers a great spa getaway. Prices start at $435 per night and go up to $555. Rooms have views of the ocean, including floor-to-ceiling windows. You’ll also enjoy the hotel’s restaurant, which features live music on weekends.

This romantic beachfront hotel opened in 1907 as a fancy beach club. After a short stint as a rehab center and Pritikin Longevity Center, the property reopened in the late 1990s as a luxury hotel. In 2015, the hotel was redesigned, and the decor is now inspired by a Mediterranean villa. This luxury beachfront resort also offers a full spa and modern fitness center.

Another romantic place to celebrate Christmas is the Firebrand Hotel in Whitefish, Montana. The hotel features a romantic atmosphere, cozy beds, and a rooftop hot tub. The hotel is also located two blocks from Queen Victoria Park. The spa offers steam showers, and there is a restaurant and bar on the premises. The hotel also provides free wifi and an airport shuttle.

Firebrand Hotel

The Firebrand Hotel is a beautiful and romantic resort in Whitefish, Montana. With cozy beds, elegant decor and easy access to downtown, it is the perfect place to spend Christmas. Guests can enjoy the spa, rooftop hot tub, restaurant and bar. It also offers airport shuttle service.

Located in downtown Whitefish, Montana, the Firebrand Hotel combines urban sophistication and service with the rugged beauty of the Northwest. The hotel features deluxe rooms and suites, with modern amenities like granite counter tops and European floor-to-ceiling glass shower. The rooms also feature custom-select luxury beds.

A romantic Christmas getaway in England could take you to a Cotswolds cottage or an elegant lakefront cabin in the Lake District. Or, you can spend the holiday at the Hunters Moon retreat in Somerset. Nearby, you can find Loch Nes and Horseshoe Falls.

Whistler, British Columbia

If you are in search of a romantic resort where you can spend Christmas with your significant other, consider Whistler, British Columbia. This world-class ski resort has everything you are looking for in a Christmas destination. With guaranteed white Christmases and year-round activities, Whistler is a great place to celebrate the holiday season. From skiing and snowboarding to light walks and ziplining, there is something to do for everyone.

Whistler, British Columbia, is a popular ski resort but there are many things to do in the area during all seasons. If you are planning to visit Whistler, it is a good idea to purchase travel insurance before you go. Even the most minor accidents can end up costing you hundreds of dollars. This means that an emergency room visit for strep throat or emergency appendix surgery could break the bank.

The perfect time to visit Whistler is in the fall, when the temperatures are cooler and the town is ready for the colder season. The quieter weather allows you to enjoy the endless activities that Whistler has to offer. If you’re unsure of whether or not you should buy a winter pair of boots, consider hiking boots in lieu of winter ones.

Key West

For lovers of Christmas, Key West is a wonderful destination. From the enchanting Nutcracker to Old Town Christmas celebrations, Key West has it all. For example, the Tennessee Williams Fine Arts Center presents annual productions of the Nutcracker, which are a tropical twist on the traditional tale. The theater company also stages festive tributes and old-school Hollywood Christmas specials.

While the city is known for its crazy festivals, such as the Duval Crawl, Key West has a romantic side as well. The quiet beauty of Christmastime in the Conch Republic makes it the perfect holiday destination for couples. During the festive season, couples can enjoy the Christmas Light Trolley Tour, where the city’s most famous buildings are illuminated in glittering lights. Another favorite activity is watching the Christmas Lighted Boat Parade from the Schooner Wharf Bar.

Key West has a large range of lodging options to suit any budget. You can stay in historic homes or at a luxurious oceanfront resort. There’s also the Moorings, a former coconut plantation that offers private cottages. This historic setting was the backdrop for the hit Netflix series Bloodlines. Another romantic getaway is the Southernmost House, a Victorian-style inn that has hosted famous figures.

Vienna’s historic Cape Neddick lighthouse

Located in York, Maine, Cape Neddick Light celebrates Christmas by displaying the beautiful lights that are traditionally used during the holiday season. It is a historic site that dates back to 1879, when Congress appropriated $15,000 for the construction of the Cape Neddick Light Station. The lighthouse was dedicated by the U.S. Lighthouse Service, and is still in use today.

Visitors can also experience a holiday tradition by touring the Cape Neddick Lighthouse, affectionately known as the Nubble Light. The lighthouse is decorated with festive lights each December, inviting visitors to ponder their own past and future Christmases. Even Old Man Winter can’t compete with the lighthouse’s holiday warmth.

The lighthouse is decorated and lit during the holiday season, and Santa Claus makes an appearance during the event. A large lobster trap adorned with holiday lights is another attraction that is lit during the holiday season. This tradition is part of the York Parks and Recreation department.

Key West’s historic Lanesborough Inn

As the holiday season draws closer, Key West’s Historic Inns are decked out with holiday decorations and special events. On two Friday evenings in December, you can tour four Key West inns and sip warm cider and holiday treats while learning more about these beautiful historic properties. Each property hosts a local innkeeper who will share insights about their properties.

The historic Lanesborough Inn will also host a variety of special events throughout the holiday season, including a Pet Pictures with Santa event sponsored by the local veterinary group, All Animal Clinic. The event takes place from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, December 6, and will benefit the Key West Boys and Girls Club.

For those who enjoy watching parades, the Holiday Parade starts at 7 p.m. on the first Friday in December, and winds down Duval and Truman Streets. The parade is a true small-town tradition, and is a must-see during the holiday season. The event is attended by multigenerational families, which line the sidewalks and bounce to holiday music.
